Being a daughter of a fashionista, I was taught the rules of fashion at a
very young age. Unfortunately, being a chubby and incredibly tall for
my age tomboy, fashion was not my friend. I always wanted to look like
the glamorous girls in the magazines, but it was not to be, not yet
anyway. I spent the majority of my childhood with my horses; my passion for horses and competing continued to grow, and it's something I still very much enjoy to this day. Horses were my saviors back then, and I will always be grateful for the sense of responsibility, pride, and confidence that they instilled in me.
By the time high school rolled around I had slimmed down, and I was fully engrossed in all things fashion; my dream was to be a fashion show producer. I enrolled in fashion school,
and even though I changed my major to business after freshman year (due to my desire to not relive The Devil Wears Prada), I
have remained a steadfast fashionista. After completing my degree in Business from Drexel University in Philadelphia, I was ready to take on the corporate world. I started out as an IT consultant with a large firm, which while it looked great on my resume, I did not enjoy traveling every week. After a particularly harrowing flight home (I HATE to fly), I decided that I had had enough with consulting, and I began the search for a job I would love.
All while this was going on my amazing mother was building an incredible business as The Numbers Diva, where she teaches entrepreneurs to truly love their numbers! After a particularly moving event, my mom and I decided that it was time for me to join the family business. I truly love what I do, and having the opportunity to work with so many exciting and interesting people is a gift.
In my spare time I enjoy horseback riding (just for fun nowadays), traveling (Cape Cod in particular), spending time with my husband and partner in crime, Jon, and snuggling with my adorable Ragdoll cat, Tywin, and my crazy pommy puppy, Thor. As far as the blogging is concerned, I've made a go at it on more than one occasion and it always seemed to be for the wrong reasons. I truly love life and I hope to make this blog into something that inspires that love in others. Thank you for visiting my blog, and I hope you enjoy!
